No Symphony for a while

I will have to postpone my work on my first symphony for a while. I've been mostly working on broad sketches of the symphony's structure, writing small chord progressions and melodies, mostly for the first movement. I think the end result will sound great, but by the time I finish, I may very well be quite tired of the melodies. One of the most important aspects of the symphony, however, is the orchestration, and it will be a while until I get to that.

Anyway, the upcoming week looks very busy for me in college, with our first set of exams coming up. The good news is that all the exams are relatively easy because of the low amount of material covered. A couple of my classes aren't even giving exams. But this gives me a lot of work to do, so I won't be able to work on the symphony until next weekend, most likely. Until then, it will just have to let the symphony mold itself as I go over it in my head . . .
