I Give Up!

With a word count at a measly 7,300, I've come to the conclusion that I can't do it! No, I can not. I was trying to write a novel, but I'll save it for later. Instead, I think I'll write more music.

I have written a tenth of my novel!

5,000 words out of 50,000 isn't too bad for the first day! I must get to 50,000 by end of November. I have already planned out my book, except the details of the ending, so I won't be sitting there wondering what I should make happen next. For now, the book is entitled "The Spitwick Wishes" and a very short excerpt can be found on my NaNoWriMo user's profile at:

I won't give any details away on the overall plot yet. It's more of a juvenile/young adult book (3rd, 4th, 5th grades, I guess) and it's not too serious. I can't write serious. Hopefully it will be enjoyable. I'm sure I won't have as much time to write later this week, so it's a good thing I got a lot done today!
